5 Things I Consumed Last Week (bluestocking👩🏫)
how do we teach kids, i am not your Guru, search for Vulcan, everything everywhere, podcast ensemble & sauces
This is the beginning of a new chapter (scroll till the end). I have been spending most of my time researching, trying to read about topics that interests me vaguely but I never spend time on them. The term bluestocking was first used in the 18th century to refer to a group of English women who decided they'd rather have intellectual conversations with educated guests than sit around playing cards and chatting.
Trust me this issue is going to be the most intellectually stimulating one. Let’s begin brewing!

How Do I Teach These Kids?! | Not Boring
Long essays have been my go to reading segment this year and this essay beats them all. In the era where AI, NFTs, Big Data exists simultaneously with conventional schooling and rote learning, there is absolutely no ideal way to figure out what’s best for children? (can’t imagine how difficult it must be for parents)
With stellar references ranging from essays to podcasts, factual data and an impeccable analysis Packy tries to unfold this dilemma in a logical and engaging way.
Teach kids freedom, and that they have agency.
I Am Not Your Guru | Tony Robbins | Netflix
If we can realize that life is always happening for us, not to us… game over, all the pain and suffering disappears
Tony Robbins has been the OG of motivational seminars since the 90’s. I know people throw flak at motivational gurus (I am also one of them) but there is something about OGs’ like Tony, David Goggins and Jocko Willink.
This documentary is focused on his "Date With Destiny" seminars. Thousands of disciples from all over the world are cloistered for six days to yell, laugh, cry, and empathize.
The close-ups of his thrusting interventions with audience members fill us in on the man's particular charisma, a mesmerizing brew of kindness and candid bullying. There’s something about Tony..
The Search for Vulcan | The Loaf | Tim Kreider
My academic exposure to reading about cosmic science is negligible hence I try to read as much as I can (considering it has to be lucid enough). In this issue, Tim talks about a fun anecdote on how Neptune was discovered and links it to a hypothesis about a planet named Vulcan which actually never existed.
Some problems are Uranus problems, solvable within the current model; others are Mercury problems, which prove to be insoluble within the existing model, and challenge it, requiring a new perspective, a revolution in thought.
Everything Everywhere All At Once | Movie
Sci-fi, Artistic, Absurdist, Unpredictable, Indie, Philosophical, Existențialism, Nihilism, Hopeful - all in one
There are not many films that are as profound in their philosophical subtexts, but also hilarious, emotional, and visually striking. It would be a disservice to explain the true essence of the film in a few sentences, it is something that needs to be experienced first-hand. Head to the theatre NOW!
The film’s central theme explores the idea that human beings are insignificant in the grand scheme of things in the multiverse. The film also conveys the contradiction to nihilism that no matter how insignificant, each individual’s actions play a vital role in shaping the lives of themselves and those around them.

An Honest Look
Boombay - giving a spin to sauces
Boombay offers a delectable range of 21 healthy, plant based sauces, dips, spreads and dressings. I tired their sample pack of classic sauces. I used 3 sauces namely:
Balsamic + Black Pepper : for roasting veggies as a dressing
Chilli + Caramel : as a mix in a savory muffin batter
Schezwan : as a stir fry sauce for noodles in a Frankie
The stand out for me was their philosophy of seed to sauce. I wish you could smell their chili infused production facility, like I did. They also have a collection of over 100 recipes on their website for some inspiration on how to use the sauces.
Personally Schezwan was the highlight for me, I have used many brands but I think I am gonna stick with Boombay for this!
